Getting Your Feet Wet @ The BrookOur desire for every person who attends Calvary, the Brook, is to become equipped. This means to get plugged in, get connected to the ministry here, and build real relationships with other like-minded believers. Our Christian faith is not just about believing, it's also about belonging. We want you to belong to the family. Although we have no formal membership, below are the steps for getting involved.
In order to experience the “Life Now” that Jesus promised, we each must take the steps necessary:
This is the process designed to get your feet wet at the BrookStep #1 - AcclimateRegularly Attend the weekly church servicesThere really is no substitute for the Sunday corporate worship experience. This is the life blood of the Christian, because all the elements necessary to get connected come together. The more regularly we attend, the better we will be connected to the body of Christ. It is required that you attend regularly as a first step to getting involved in serving. This gives you time to get settled and to know what our church is all about. Step #2 - AssociateJoin a Growth MinistryBuilding relationships is essential to getting connected and small group meetings are a great way to do that. We have a number of small groups available. There are no requirements for joining; you can start at any time
Step #3 - ActivateRegister for the LIFE ClassesThis class is to prepare and qualify you to be active in serving at The Brook and gives you a spiritual foundation to build your faith and service upon. You will be equipped in discovering your spiritual gifts. Pick up a LIFE card at the Information Booth for class schedule. This class is a prerequisites to serving here at the Brook.
Step #4 - AppropriateJoin a Giving Out MinistryOne you have completed the LIFE class, you are ready to start serving. Review the “Opportunities to Serve” flier for available service opportunities that best fit your gift profile. Finally, complete a ministry application, and you will be contacted by the leader over that ministry. |
