Pastor Ricks Family

Pastor Rick was born in the early 60's in Boston, Massachusetts, and moved to California in the late 60's. He lived in Redondo Beach while in elementary school, then in Corona, California, until the 7th grade. He moved to Riverside for 8th grade and attended Chemowa Middle School as well as Arlington High School. After a short stead in Reno, Nevada and graduating from high school there, he returned to Southern California, where he married Kathy in 1986. They had two children, Andrew and Miranda.

Rick was raised as a Jehovah's Witness until he was 12 years old. When he was 16, a young man from California Baptist College shared the gospel with Rick and he received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and began denouncing the teachings of his former religion. Without being followed up or getting involved in a home church, however, Rick floundered for the next 5 years, until he finally made a recommitment to Christ at a Mehodist youth camp. Upon returning from camp, he immediately began attending Harvest Christian Fellowship. That was 1985. The rest is history.

After attending Harvest Christian Fellowship for 10 years and being involved in various ministries, discipleship groups, and ministry training, at the age of 30, he was invited to serve on the pastoral staff at Harvest. Pastor Rick served as an associate pastor, overseeing a number of different ministries from 1995-1999. He most notably served as a Crusade Director for the Harvest Crusades from 1999-2004, before leaving to begin the Brook.
