Logph was born in Manhattan, Kansas in 1958. He moved to Chicago in 1963 and then to Pasadena in 1964. He lived in Pasadena until 1971 when he moved to Alhambra and finally to Los Angeles where he graduated from Woodrow Wilson HS in 1976. Upon graduating from high school, Logph joined the Navy where he served until his honorable discharge in 1984. Logph returned to Southern California, where he married Lillie in 1985. They have two children, Richard and Robert. Logph also has two children from a previous marriage, David and Christina. Logph and Lillie have one granddaughter, Alexis.

Although Logph received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at the age of 10, he floundered in his faith for many years. In and out of churches and not really committing himself, he started to attend services at Calvary the Brook in 2004. Logph finally surrendered and recommitted himself to Christ at a Men's Retreat in 2005. He began to serve on the set-up and tear-down crew, as a small group leader for the Men's Bible Fellowship, and then as an usher, ultimately overseeing the Ushers and Sports Ministries. Logph has also been involved in discipleship groups, and ministry and leadership training and currently serves in the senior leadership team overseeing the Men's Ministries, the Spanish Ministry, the Ushers and Greeters Ministries, the Sports Ministry, the Hospitality Ministry, and is the Sunday Services Administrator.
